The original owner was an architect who wanted as little as possible between the living room and the redwoods. What he built is a house that spends the whole day tracking the light — east glass for the morning, a west deck for the last of the sun, and clerestory windows that keep the middle of the day soft.
It’s not a big house, and it doesn’t try to be. Three bedrooms, a proper wood stove, a kitchen that opens straight onto the deck. The land does the rest: a little over an acre of second-growth redwoods and ferns, a seasonal creek along the back line, and a quiet you’ll notice the moment you turn off the engine.
